Red Dwarf wins two British Comedy Guide awards!

Well, this has made our week. You may recall from last week that Red Dwarf was nominated as Best Returning Comedy in the British Comedy Guide website's 2016 awards. Well, the results are now in - and despite some pretty big names being alongside us in the nominations, Red Dwarf XI not only took home the win in that main category, but also won Best Comedy Overall from across the range of all categories!
This is fantastic news, and hugely gratifying for everyone who worked on Red Dwarf XI. Thanks so much to every one of you who voted (not to mention nominating the show in the first case) - and to the British Comedy Guide for holding an awards ceremony of such taste and distinction.

Absolutely thrilled to hear the news that Red Dwarf XI has won both awards. Especially in a year with so many great shows. Thanks to Dave, Baby Cow and all who voted. This award will really help me next time I need to persuade one of the guys to climb into a prosthetic monster costume with six other creature performers and stay in there for half a day with no toilet breaks. So thank you. You've made my job a whole lot easier.
