19 March, 2021
Red Dwarf: The Promised Land is in the running for a British Film Designers Guild award for Best Production Design. Nominated in the Light Entertainment TV Programme category, The Promised Land is up against After Life and Sex Education, and voting is now open for BFDG members.
This is a fantastic achievement, and we would like to say a massive congratulations to the design team, including production designer Dominic Roberts, art director Greg Hewitt, and set decorator Elizabeth Slater. The work this team carried out was truly phenomenal. Red Dwarf has never looked so good.
This is yet another coup for The Promised Land, after UKTV revealed, back in January, that it was the most watched show on Dave from the last seven years. The winners are currently set to be announced during an online ceremony on the 16th of May, and we will bring you more news when we have it. Best of luck to the team.
