Final Dimension Jump Update
The last batch of information before the Fan Club's weekend. UPDATED: Craig Charles now also confirmed.
1 April, 2011 (Updated 1 April, 2011)
The Red Dwarf Fan Club's sixteenth convention is almost here - and the team have released some extra updates about what to expect over the weekend.
Dimension Jump XVI
Birmingham Holiday Inn
April 8th-10th, 2011
Firstly, two extra guests have been confirmed:
Amazingly, Doug Naylor in his first DJ Q&A appearance since... we think it was in a previous millennium! The writer/director/exec-producer/waver-of-tentacles will be showing up for a Sunday slot and taking questions on... well, you know what you wanna know.
We're still recovering from the news, too.
Then we welcome the warm and cuddly shape of Steve Wickham. Interviewed by Mr Flibble here, Steve famously played Lister's GELF bride in Emohawk - Polymorph II. And once you've asked about snogging Craig Charles, you can pick his brains on playing the future Jamie Oliver in Armando Iannucci's Time Trumpet and his time on two different Doctor Whos.
Next up, a Saturday Pass is now available, allowing visitors who can't make the entire weekend the chance to show up for the full (middle) day of fun on the 9th for a reduced fee of just £30. The Saturday Pass is available on the door.
Over the weekend, there will now be two 30-minute Coffee Lounge Sessions where fans can spend a little time in the green room with DJ guests. (A list which includes Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules and Hattie Hayridge.) Details are available from the Club site.
There are also photoshoot sessions available with the guests. You can still grab a snap while getting autographs, of course, but if you're after something a little slick, two more shoots will be taking place with the guests, with access and a glossy A4 print available for £10. Numbers are limited, though!
Sadly, one guest has had to back out. Robert Llewellyn won't be able to attend in person, but is promising a Skype Q&A on the Big Screen. Make him pull funny faces, we say.
Finally, the Fan Club have set up a devoted Twitter feed for the weekend. Live updates, schedule changes and other information can be found at @tordfc_dj.

UPDATE: The Club has announced on Twitter that Craig Charles has just confirmed his attendance for the DJ weekend! We reckon he's after another snog with his GELF bride...
While Grant Naylor Productions fully supports the Dimension Jump convention, please note that it is not a GNP event and is organised and run by the official Fan Club.
