Australian Date Announced For Back To Earth

It'll be out in time for Christmas, cobbers.

By now you'll be sick to death of reddwarf.co.uk's stereotypical coverage of Australia's various Red Dwarf releases. So for this coverage of Back to Earth being released on both DVD and Blu-ray we'll be ditching all the references to flying doctors, cricket, hats with corks and tying kangaroos down, sport. Because it just cheapens us all.

The important fact to take away is this: the Region 4 release date is December 17th.

Which is brilliant. It means the Christmas barbie - that's not a cliché, honest, it's just that the Aussies happen to insist on having Christmas in the middle of summer - can be enhanced by sitting around the TV with a few cans of lager - again fair enough, because who doesn't have a little drink at Christmastime? - and enjoying the Red Dwarf posse's latest adventure. While hugging a koala.

Now word yet on when the programme will be broadcast by ABC, but it's looking like the shiny disc release will come first. Bonza!
