BTL Delayed
Crime puts the fan club mag a couple of weeks behind schedule!
7 December, 2001
It's the crash-hot new instalment of Better Than Life. It features a fabulous interview with Robert Llewellyn, a comic strip, the latest news and reviews, Red.Web's look at 'Dwarf on the net, the Enlightenment question session and all the usual scalding debate in the fans' own Post Pod. And it's going to be dropping onto your mat... just a little late.
Jane Williams, Fan Club chairwoman, explains the mishap. "Not so much a mishap as a major disaster! Den, one of the club team members, had his car stolen - bad enough in itself, but inside the car were the discs and a lot of paperwork for the contents of BTL, which was about a week away from going to print. Most of the items have had to be re-done from scratch and we're working hard to get the issue out ASAP."
The cutting-edge of publishing this may not be, but BTL has always been run by the fans, for the fans. That kind of freedom and dedication makes the official fan club unique. Always pushing for change, the magazine has a developed a new look, especially on the cover. These must be exciting times? "Very exciting! The club wanted a more up to date look for the mag and we're always on the lookout for interesting items to include. The feedback from fans has been great!"
You can get hold of BTL only by joining the official Red Dwarf fan club. A link to their website is available in the Links section, or you can grab an application form from the Officers' Club.
