We Are One
The all-new reddwarf.co.uk celebrates its first year online!
16 November, 2001
Well here we all are. Remember November 2000? What a fun-packed time that was. The Sugarbabes were rocking - or, at least, gently shaking - the charts with 'Overload', Scary Movie was topping the box office, and the official Red Dwarf website was going through a little revamp...
Yes, that's right. After what seemed like aeons, the brand new Red Dwarf site - which is to say, this one, reddwarf.co.uk - finally arrived on the scene. For months we teased you with a Flash animation (still available to download from the Officers' Club), and then came the full launch at Dimension Jump 2000. Finally, on November 20th, at 11.40am UK time, we went live.
So, here we are. One year and 49 updates later, we're still looking pretty sprightly. In February '01 we opened up the chatroom, back in June we revamped the site layout, and in July... well, there was a slight hiccup. But a quick change of server meant that the 'Red Out' was short-lived, and soon we were back kicking bottom with the best of them.
Here at Grant Naylor we'd like to thank you all for a fantastic first year. Over 4,000 people visit reddwarf.co.uk every day, which puts our monthly rating at more than 120,000 users!
So don't forget to keep coming back every week - we have a very exciting year coming up. Production will be starting on Red Dwarf - The Movie, and we'll have exclusive access to the set, cast and crew. Mr Flibble will still be around, as well as the new electrical appliance in town, Talkie Toaster.
This being the special week it is, why not drop into the Red Dwarf Webboard and leave an open birthday message for Mr Flibble.
Thanks for the success, guys.

Website Co-ordinator
