Mouse Mat Market
Craig Charles drops into Birmingham to help launch the Red Dwarf mouse mat.
2 November, 2001
Dave Lister himself, Mr Craig Charles, is going to be available to the fans on Sunday, November 4th at the latest Memorabilia collector's fair. Craig is attending as a guest of The Stamp Centre, the company who brought you the signed Red Dwarf First Day Covers and photo prints. (But sadly not beer milkshakes.)
The massive fair, held at the NEC, Birmingham, is set to have dozens of stalls - all dedicated to SF and cult TV and film. The Stamp Centre's latest Dwarfian goodies include drinks coasters and the often-demanded mouse mat (pictured).
For those who purchase a qualifying item at the stand, Craig will be signing autographs - one on the item itself, plus a bonus signature on anything else you care to bring. (Please be aware of the public decency laws, though, ladies!) He'll be there from 10am until 5pm, so have pity on the poor man's wrist by the end of the day.
Memorabilia will be running on both the Saturday and Sunday, with tickets available on the door, as well as bookable in advance. The massive guest list includes director Ken Russell, former Dr Whos Tom and Colin Baker, R2D2 himself Kenny Baker, Bond director John Glen and the impossibly named Shane Rimmer! (The voice of Thunderbird 1 pilot Scott Tracy, who has appeared in Dr Who, Diamonds are Forever, Dr Strangelove and Star Wars.)

You can also catch Craig appearing in Robot Wars Extreme on BBC2 on Friday nights at 6.45pm. Activate!
