Gigging With Craig
He plays both kinds of music - funk and soul...
22 February, 2019
It's late February. The post-Christmas pinch is (hopefully) over, and so too is the long, cold January. With longer nights on the horizon, then what better time to get out and about and enjoy a chance to strut your funky stuff?
Happily, as is so often the case, there's a whole slate of Funk & Soul Club gigs up and down the country from the ever-reliable Craig Charles in the next few months - so here's a run down of where and how you can get to see him do his thing:
Friday 1st March | Barnstaple, Factory Petroc |
Saturday 9th March | Manchester, Band on the Wall |
Friday 15th March | Edinburgh, La Belle Angele |
Saturday 16th March | Leeds, The Wardrobe |
Friday 22nd March | London, EartH (Hackney Arts Centre) |
Sunday 24th March | Worthing, Pier |
Saturday 6th April | Manchester, Band on the Wall |
Friday 12th April | Margate, Dreamland |
Friday 19th April | Northampton, Roadmender |
Sunday 21st April | Nottingham, Rescue Rooms |
Friday 10th May | Sheffield, The Plug |
Friday 17th May | Exeter, Phoenix |
Friday 31st May | Inverness, Ironworks |
Tickets for all these gigs, as well as up-to-date listings, can be found at Ents24.
Don't forget, too, that Craig's latest Funk & Soul Club compilation - the sixth volume! - is still available to buy, if you didn't manage to get your hands on it before Christmas. You can get that directly from the label at Bandcamp And of course you can hear the Funk & Soul Show Saturday nights 6pm-9pm on BBC 6Music, followed by the House Party on Radio 2 from 10pm-midnight! Enough funk and soul for even the funkiest of souls...
