Reality Returns
Latest issue of the Fan Club mag hits inboxes.
23 February, 2018
Amid all the various Red Dwarf anniversary activity going on last week, the Official Fan Club had something else new to drop on their ever-loyal subscribers: the latest issue of the exclusive digital magazine, Back to Reality!
Issue #11 of BTR is as chock-full of fannish goodness as ever, as the team extensively cover Series XI and XII - with set reports from both series alongside a panel of specially-selected fans discussing their reactions to the twelve episodes.
But there's also a chance for a bit of nostalgia, as - appropriately enough for the anniversary - The End is the latest episode to fall under the "In Focus" microscope. Meanwhile, the Justice Zone makes the case for both the prosecution and defence of past references in the show, and the team look back on last year's epic Dimension Jump XIX convention.
Elsewhere, there's a look at John Lenahan's latest novel, artist Rich Lawden shows us how to make a Talkie Toaster action figure set (no, really), and there's another instalment of Kris Carter's comic strip.
All in all, it's a worthy addition to the reading catalogue of any self-respecting fan - and if you're not already a Fan Club member (in which case you've probably already read it) you can get your hands on it by signing up over at the club's website. Membership costs £15, and lasts for four issues of BTR - but you also get a regular Psi-Scan newsletter, access to an ever-increasing archive of old fanzines, an exclusive members' only chat forum, special competitions, and a discount on the registration fee for Dimension Jump each time it comes around!
