Official Fan Club convention sets a date.

Having already announced that the next Dimension Jump convention will be taking place a year earlier than expected - in 2018, rather than taking the even-numbered year off as usual - the Official Red Dwarf Fan Club have now gone one step further and released more specific details about the event.

The key dates are 5th - 7th October 2018 - that's another Friday through to Sunday of utterly smegging epic Red Dwarf fan action, and it's taking place once again at the Crowne Plaza, Nottingham.

Just as crucial, however, is the news that tickets for the event will go on sale from midnight (UK time) on Friday 13th October. Which, yes, is pretty early - but it does give you plenty of time to get your affairs in order! And what's more, there'll be an early bird discount for those who grab their passes straight away: you'll only have to pay £70 for members or £80 for non-members if you book before Monday 16th October (after which, the price becomes £80/£95).

You'll also be able to book a room at the Crowne Plaza for £95 per night (payment on arrival) - and those will also become available from Friday 13th October. Details of how to get the block rate will follow when the weekend passes go on sale.

2017's Dimension Jump XIX sold out a good while prior to the weekend itself - and as this one is taking place not only after the twelfth series but also in the show's thirtieth anniversary year, we'd expect it to be even bigger. So you'll really want to make sure you don't miss out...
