X On Demand
Watch Red Dwarf for free, thanks to Dave!
19 December, 2014
If you've been paying attention in recent months, you'll know that there's been a recent surge in the availability of Red Dwarf on various on-demand platforms - you can now watch the episodes, dependent on your location, on Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox Video, the Sony Entertainment Network, Virgin Media and iTunes. Frankly, it's easier than ever to call up an episode of the show to watch, and that's without having to go anywhere near your DVD shelf.
But what if you're not a subscriber to any of these services? What if you're cut adrift from your boxsets (perhaps away on a Christmas family visit), can't wait for the next round of Dave repeats, but absolutely have to get a Red Dwarf fix right now? Well, if you've got access to a computer and the Internet (which, given that you're reading this site, we'd assume you do), then salvation could well be at hand.
Because as part of Dave's cunningly-named Dave on Demand service, for a limited time only you can watch the entirety of Series X, streaming directly from their website, completely for free! There's no subscription fee, and not even any kind of annoying sign-up process - just head on over to the site, choose your episode, and click play. Hey ho, pip and dandy!
The episodes won't be there forever, though - while they might be back at some point, their current period of availability expires on 31st December. But that still gives you plenty of time to watch the series through a good six or seven times between now and the new year... right?
