Norm at Nozstock
Lovett adds festival to summer comedy schedule.
12 July, 2013
We reported a few weeks ago on the busy, festival-laden summer calendar of one Craig Charles - but Craig isn't the only Dwarfer hitting the festival circuit in 2013. Making an appearance at the Nozstock Festival later this month is none other than Norman Lovett - though of course, unlike Craig, he'll be performing stand-up comedy rather than a funk and soul DJ set. Although, having said that, does anyone else think Norman doing a funk and soul DJ set would be worth seeing?
Nozstock takes place on 26th-28th July in Bromyard, Herefordshire. It's described as "A festival built from a curious amalgamation of performance, art, electronic supersounds and good old-fashioned guitar-strumming and drum-bashing." Plus, er, Chas and Dave. Norman is performing on the Laughing Stock stage, which in previous years has played host to the likes of Phill Jupitus, Russell Howard and Phil Kaye. Weekend tickets cost £95, and can be booked at the website.
If you don't fancy spending the last weekend in July sunning yourself in a field in Herefordshire, however, you can still catch Norman throughout August courtesy of his Edinburgh show, Old and New. Taking place at The Voodoo Rooms, Tuesdays to Sundays at 8pm between 2nd and 25th August, you can get tickets for just £8 each - or, if you book for Tuesday 6th August, there's a special two for the price of one offer.
Although before you ask, no, "two for the price of one" refers just to the tickets, and not to the number of Hollys you'll get onstage that night...
Book tickets for Old and New at the Edinburgh Fringe website.
