Sculpted Features

The rough-hewn faces of the boyz are for sale.

3 September, 2010

As reported by Danny John-Jules to the Red Dwarf Fan Club, the Nottinghamshire sculptor with the brilliant/unfortunate (depending on political preference) name of Gordon Brown has completed a series of sculptures of the Red Dwarf cast which are now available for sale.

Sculpted Features

As previously reported, Danny requested the original sculpt, which is a parody of Mount Rushmore. But it's important to note that these are sculpts of the cast not the characters - etched in the 'rock' are Danny, Chris Barrie, Craig Charles and Robert Llewellyn.

850 have been created, individually priced at a national-monument sized £452 each. The Fan Club report the size as "about the same as an A4 piece of paper. The frame brings the overall size of the sculpture to 38cm x 29.5cm x 6cm... On the reverse of the sculpture it shall be signed by the cast as well as the sculptor."

You can get more details from the Longdale Craft Centre website.
