Back To Earth Faces Final Boss
Podcast celebrates Red Dwarf's place in 2009 geekdom.

Oh, is this our trumpet? I guess it is. Anyone mind if we give it a quick blow?
American podcast The Nerdy Show has built a Top 20 Nerdy Things list for 2009. And nestled snugly amongst the Tron Legacy trailer, the new Star Trek movie and Pixel8's performance of music on old computers at Bletchley Park (Google it), Red Dwarf: Back to Earth places at a warm and snuggly ninth.
The one criteria is that everything has a nerd-centric quality about it,
says the show's Cap Blackard.
Being among these ranks means that these selections had to soar above countless other geeky happenings,
goings-on, or phenomena that took the stage in 2009. So congratulations!
The show - '2009 Final Boss' - is available at the Nerdy Show website and via iTunes(where the Red Dwarf Soundboard App is currently listed as 'New and Noteworthy'). You'll find Back to Earth at around the 52-minute mark,
where it's named as being cooler than finding water on the moon.
Much praise for both the production value
and the entertainment quality of the show, and bonus points for repeated use of the word 'awesome' (count 'em).
The guys also point out that Red Dwarf beat Doctor Who's specials for its place...
Back to Earth is available on DVD and Blu-Ray in the UK and USA via Merchandise.
