Don't know about anyone else, but we're really enjoying the experience of Red Dwarf in German. Sure you can watch it on BBC Entertainment, but it's hard not to be tickled by the translated troubles of hologram Saunders at the start of Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers:

Sein Verstand lief Amok, und er stellte sich eine lange, mit Erdbeergeschmacksverhütern ausstaffierte Schlange von Liebhabern vor der Schlafzimmertür seiner Ehefrau vor. Nein!, brüllte Saunders. Neeeeeein!

Anyway, fans in Germany - plus you many, many completists out there - can finally experience Roter Zwerg, the entire first novel, this way. It's out now, the cover is pretty gorgeously cool, and the first review on Amazon.de by 'Verdandi' is very complimentary:

Ich habe dieses Buch innerhalb kürzester Zeit durchgelesen. Es ist durchweg spannend und ich musste mich zusammenreißen, die besten Gags nicht immer meinem Mann vorzulesen, weil er es ja auch noch lesen will! Im übrigen hätte ich ihm dann fast das komplette Buch vorlesen müssen! Wirklich empfehlenswert... selbst für Nicht-SF-Fans.
