Meet The Creator

Richard O'Callaghan confirmed for Dimension Jump '09.

He's the man who gave life to Lister, Rimmer, Kryten and Cat... or did he? Back to Earth's most enigmatic character, The Creator, was brought to life by actor Richard O'Callaghan - and he's about to meet the fans, having signed up to be the latest guest on the increasingly-packed roster for Dimension Jump XV.

Taking place between Friday, October 9th and Sunday October 11th the convention already has Chris Barrie, Craig Charles, Danny John-Jules, Robert Llewellyn and Hattie Hayridge on its line-up, not to mention Mike Tucker and the vis-FX boys. It's all going on at The Birmingham Holiday Inn!

It's your chance to grab a picture, an autograph, and to ask Richard... well, pretty much anything. Was it fun 'killing' the cast? Were those huge glasses uncomfortable? How long did he have to act 'dead' while the guys continued acting around him? Who was he going to play in the Red Dwarf movie? How did he keep a straight face on the set of those Carry On movies? (Oh yes, he was in those, y'know. You should do your research before you go to DJ, ask him about something obscure. Actors love that.)

Registration between now and September 4th is £55 for Fan Club members or £60 for non-members. You can get all the details from the Fan Club Website, and book accommodation at the Holiday Inn, Birmingham at special convention rates.
