With all the Back to Earth excitement in the air, fans are wanting to congregate, socialise and occasionally dance like utter maniacs. Thank heaven, then, for the fifteenth not-quite-annual-but-close-enough Dimension Jump convention!

Here's the key info for DJ XV, as it's known to its friends:

Friday, October 9th to Sunday October 11th
The Birmingham Holiday Inn

A full guest roster is still to be announced, but already confirmed are Chris Barrie, Craig Charles, Danny John-Jules, Robert Llewellyn and Hattie Hayridge! Along with the return of Mike Tucker and his ever-popular vis-FX boys.

Registration before the 8th of May will be £40 for members or £50 for non-members, after which the price goes up to £55 and £65 respectively. (Until September 4th - if you haven't booked by then, the price is £60 or £65.)

The location, the Holiday Inn, Birmingham, is right in the city centre and only a few minutes walk from Birmingham New Street station. Hotel rates are £65 per night for a single room, or £80 per night for a double or twin. Rates include bed and breakfast.

The Fan Club have played host or a plethora of Red Dwarf names every time they've hosted a live event. Along with those listed, previous guests have included Craig Charles, Chloë Annett, Norman Lovett, Rob Grant and Doug Naylor. Not to mention the likes of actors Mac McDonald, John Lenahan, Graham McTavish, Lee Cornes and Clayton Mark, plus costume designer Howard Burden, effects legend Bill Pearson and co-writer Paul Alexander.

No doubt we can expect the usual combination of live performances, question and answer sessions, free autograph signings, quizzes, games, videos, auctions, costumes and disco. But what other surprises lie in store we'll have to wait and see...
