Competition Winners
And the best Red Dwarf YouTube reviews are...
23 November, 2007
A few weeks ago we announced the thrilling YouTube fan review video competition, hosted by Robert Llewellyn.
Well, Robert's video has been watched over 100,000 times, and 24 fans got their act together and submitted an entry. YouTubers have been picking their favourites, and now Robert has selected the winner and runners-up:
Collecting the first prize - Ed Bye's remastering 'Formatascope' headset, an exclusive piece of Red Dwarf history accompanied by the latest Bodysnatcher and Just the Smegs DVDs - is 'oracleentertainment':
Impressive stuff, frankly - cleverly celebrating Series V while showing off some serious effects ability.
The runner up, who also snags both funky DVDs, is 'agent24hourbauer':
Animated loveliness, and a very good script. Both were among the first films posted, and in their own ways really set a standard. But, as Robert says, there were many other great and noteworthy entries. If you want to see all 24 videos - and they're really worth a look - visit this page.
Splendidly, this week also heralds the arrival of another dozen classic Dwarf clips being added to the BBC Worldwide catalogue on YouTube! You can see the full spread here - our favourites this time around include 'Taranshula' from Terrorform and Back in the Red's 'Blue Midget Dance'.
