Surfing Lenahan
The former Talkie Toaster is all over the net.
18 August, 2006
Frankly, we had no idea. John Lenahan, Red Dwarf's one-time Talkie Toaster, warm-up man and convention entertainer, has more projects on the go than is entirely reasonable for any human being.
This was all kicked off by news of a podcast written and read by the man himself. Shadowmagic is, to quote, "a rip roaring fun fantasy adventure novel very loosely based on Irish mythology where every chapter ends on the edge of a cliff (or at least a high curb)." To find out more, visit the website.
Still, despite the fact that we'd been linking to John's own website for years, we'd failed to spot the alternative spin-off which in turn linked to The Single Dad's Cookbook.
This is John's guide to creating key dishes that will make the kids happy while at the same time winning one over your ex-wife. It's an interesting goal, and, frankly, worth it just for John's delightful prose style: "Remember pancakes are not a leave-and-come-back type food, you have to pay attention to them. (Something you probably should have done to your wife.)"
