Better Than Ever

New club magazine, DJ guest update, and finally the chance to join over the net!

15 April, 2005

It's on it's way to a doormat/mailbox/hole in the ground near you right now. It features new interviews with Howard Goodall and Meltdown's Pope Gregory, Michael Burrell. There's a centre section devoted to all things Series V, an article on James' Bull's visit to the Top SF Robots recording, plus a stack of competitions, reviews, letters and gags. Yes, it's the new issue of Better Than Life out now.

Better Than Ever

Even better news is that the Official Fan Club have teamed up with PayPal to finally make joining over the net a reality. No more faffing with cheques and postal orders - reddwarf.co.uk and the Fan Club Website now have the facility to accept your membership in a matter of nanoseconds!

Fan Club chairman James Bull also brought reddwarf.co.uk up to date with the latest details of Dimension Jump XII. "Time stands still for no man, even one without a watch, so as we get closer to DJXII - 26-28th August - the Peterborough Moat House Hotel rooms are going faster than a cheetah with six legs, so now is the time to book! Once you have booked your room you can lay back in the knowledge that come Saturday night after the disco, it will be there waiting for you... Even if you can't get the key in the lock due to blurred vision!"

"As always, the guests are mounting up and jockeying for position for this year''s event. In Trap 1 we have Danny John-Jules, with a great past performance with impromptu singing and dancing and straining at the bit to answer your questions! In Trap 2 we have Robert Llewellyn, who likes the going rubbery. With a past performance of car impressions and sales of personal clothing the betting could be high on this. In Trap 3 we have Norman Lovett - whether in the saddle or doing it stand-up Norman is the favourite for deadpan comedy. In Trap 4 Chris Barrie a superb rider (of motorbikes). Also works well in shorts."

Better Than Ever

"The rest of the field is in full affect, with the Red Dwarf Special Effects crew. Headed by Mike Tucker, one time blob, expect him to be explosive out of the gate! Peter Tyler, cameraman extraordinaire, has the ability to photo finish in 35mm. Nick Kool, designer of all things visual, has the legs to go all the way to a picture perfect ending. And finally Alan Brannan, his ride the Blue Midget, although small and blue, a thoroughbred among spacecraft. A full field for the Red Dwarf Convention Cup as you can see, but expect some late special entries..."

In addition there's an auction, disco, merchandise room and autograph sessions, plus there's the traditional - and ever more competitive - fancy dress competition. You can read all about past DJs here.

Join the Club now here, and then sign up for Dimension Jump right here. It's never been easier!
