TV Schedule Rundown
Check out what's going down in groovetown. Erm, or something.
2 April, 2004
First the bad news - still no word from BBC2 on the continuing lack of Red Dwarf repeats after the screeching halt that followed Tikka to Ride. Still, for those tuned in to UKTV Gold 2, Series VII is due for a thrice-daily broadcast starting on April 5th. You can catch the full series on weeknights at 8:30pm, 10:20pm and 12:20am.
In Canada, meanwhile, BBC Kids is still putting on a daily dose of Dwarf. On weekends from April 3rd Series II is kicking off. The pairs of episodes - on Saturdays and Sundays - go out at 13:30am and 3:00am. Meanwhile, the more conventional can tune in on weeknights. Series VIII comes to an end on the 6th, but Mondays to Fridays are still filled as they go right back to Series I and start all over again. Oh, and PBS stations across the USA continue to run the show ad infinitum.
And what of the Antipodean Dwarfers? Well on UKTV in Australia Wednesday nights at 8:30pm give you the last few episodes of Series VIII before picking up with both the A-Z of Red Dwarf and Smeg Ups special. After that it seems the show is taking a bit of a breather - you can check out the UKTV website via Tracker Listings for updates, but it seems replays are being planned for later this year.
The same goes for UKTV's New Zealand channel. The latest run has literally just come to an end, but details on the next repeats are hazy. Contact details for the UKTV channels are on their websites. Let them know you want Dwarf back on the air!
You can check out UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand listings in the almighty Dwarf Tracker.
