The love affair Kryten actor Robert Llewellyn shares with technology is legendary. From his live show and hosting Scrapheap Challenge (currently airing on Channel 4) to his recent novels, it's clear to everyone that while the mechanoid is just a mask, the nipple-nuts might just be real.

As part of the third annual Soho Writers' Festival, at 7pm on November 12th Robert will be appearing at the Soho Theatre, Dean St., London for a live discussion with Professor Kevin Warwick, who has recently published his fascinating story in I, Cyborg. The book reveals how, in 1998, Professor Warwick shocked the international scientific community by having a silicon-chip transponder surgically implanted in his arm - a big influence on Robert's latest book.

"The transponder was linked to various functions in his offices such as switching on lights as he passed, turning on computers, etc." one of the organisers explained to reddwarf.co.uk. "Robert interviewed Professor Warwick and much of the implant material and plot of Brother Nature was based on this interview. Professor Warwick's latest book has recently been published by Century, and given Robert's general area of interest it seemed a good idea to put the two of them together in an 'in conversation' format."

Tickets are available from the Soho Theatre at £10 (or £8 concessions) and books will be signed after the event.
