Top Ten Sci-Fi
Red Dwarf makes the grade in Channel 4's latest Top Ten series.
12 October, 2001
Lock the door, disconnect the phone and lock your annoying brother/sister/parent/grandparent/mechanoid in an upstairs room and tune into Channel 4 at 9pm, Saturday October 13th. It is there that Red Dwarf will feature at an undisclosed - but apparently high - chart position in Top Ten Sci Fi.
The series - a ratings hit for the channel - has become famous for featuring some top TV nostalgia moments, and it's finally the turn of the SF genre. Former Dr Who and now Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) star Tom Baker hosts this look back at programmes like Space 1999, Blake's 7, Buck Rogers, Dr Who, Star Trek and Sapphire and Steel.
Assistant Producer Graham Diss has told reddwarf.co.uk that among the Red Dwarf names interviewed are Craig Charles, Robert Llewellyn and co-creator Rob Grant. "It's a fun piece," Graham told us. "Fans should be suitably pleased by Red Dwarf's chart position!"
