The Fan Club release the latest details of the coming convention.

DJ favourite and sometime Holly Hattie Hayridge looks set to storm at the new Red Dwarf Weekend, adding her name to both the guest list as well as - in a Dimension Jump first - promising to be part of the hosting team. A surprise guest has also been announced; but if we told you who it was... well, you know.

'Nicey' Ackerman will also appear in his alter-ego form of Graham McTavish. Graham was all set to appear at DJ2K last year, but a mix-up over dates left the audience Nicey-less. We have been assured that most of the chicken ovulation has now been wiped from his face and that the actor has been triple-checking the DJ:IX details.

Those booking for Dimension Jump before 1st October 2001 are eligible for a special reduced rate... and September's nearly over! For fans looking to make a saving on their DJ fee, there's no time to lose.

With registration numbers going up all the time - spurred on, no doubt by the fact that it's likely DJ:IX will coincide with production of Red Dwarf - The Movie - it's not surprising that the club website recently announced that spaces have been filling up far more quickly than expected:

If you haven't registered for the Weekend yet, don't worry - there are still spaces, but TORDFC offers this advice to anyone who has not yet registered: "We're still taking registrations and will give plenty of warning to the website before we stop, but we urge anyone who hasn't yet registered to complete the form and send it in as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment."

Guests for the latest Red Dwarf Weekend have been confirming their intention to attend. Chloë Annett, Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules and Robert Llewellyn have already been in touch with The Official Red Dwarf Fan Club expressing their interest. And while the whole cast would love to be there, a confirmed line-up is unlikely to appear until closer to the time - appearances being extremely dependant on the movie shoot. Especially if they're on location in another country!
