New Look BTL
BTL Online - the members-only section of the fan club's website - gets a facelift.
14 September, 2001
Following the release of the latest issue of quarterly magazine Better Than Life, members of the fan club are being treated with a new-look BTL Online. The website, which runs parallel to the club magazine, has a new black and white design designed to make it easy for fans to track down what they're after.
"Since it launched a year and a half ago BTL Online's popularity has soared, fuelling a constant need for the site to grow and evolve," explains site designer Den. "The latest site interface is designed for ease of use for our members, with all the information divided into easy-access areas."
Those areas include UK TV listings, the chance to send email postcards and have your own 'Jupiter Mining' email address, the latest opinion polls, and full length interviews, offering material cut from the initial publication in Better Than Life magazine.
Plus, as Den explains, "With the growth of our friendly online community, we've recently improved our forums and chat service. Our chat room now opens every fortnight for our virtual party, SmegChat!" These hosted chats make members of the club team available online for any questions.
Perhaps the most interesting inclusion is the DJIX news. What to know the very latest developments with the forthcoming Red Dwarf Weekend? It's here, online, up to date, and - as with all of BTL Online - only available to members of the club!
To join the Red Dwarf Fan Club and gain access to BTL Online, you can print off a membership form in the Fan Club section or check out the club's website from the link on our Links section.
