Charity Q&A and Quiz
Rob Grant, Paul Jackson, and Ed Bye to make online return in support of Richard's House.
14 January, 2022
Those with fond memories of spending Sunday afternoons in the company of Rob Grant, Paul Jackson, and Ed Bye during lockdown may want to note Thursday the 27th of January in their diaries, because the trio are making a one-off live return to raise funds for the children's hospice, Richard's House.
Taking the form of an online quiz, followed by a live Q&A where fans will be given the opportunity to submit their questions, the event has been organised by Kevin Durham on behalf of the charity and promises to be a not-to-be-missed treat.
We'd say that those who attended the Quarantine Commentaries will know exactly what to expect, but that's not strictly true. If past form is anything to go by, then this could be anything from a comprehensive look at Red Dwarf, complete with writerly advice, directorial wisdom, and tales of overcoming the odds to create one of the most innovative sitcoms ever made, or it could be an hour-long chat with a grown man who's doing his best to convince you he's a very hairy Koo Stark. And that's the joy of spending an evening in the company of Rob, Paul, and Ed. You never know quite what you're going to get, with the only guarantee being that it will be a lot of fun.
Richard's House is a children's hospice, based in East London, that provides palliative care to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and the chance to donate will be available during the stream. The event will be free to access via YouTube and will take place at 7pm on the 27th of January, with more information available on the Facebook page. We hope to see you all there.
If you'd like to learn more about Richard's House or make a donation before the event, you can do so on their website.
