Con Descent

Crew land in Stoke for the latest convention.

If there's one thing we love on reddwarf.co.uk almost as much as a good pun, it's a good convention with a load of the Red Dwarf cast attending. So something that offers us both those things? Well, we like that very much indeed.

A big hand, then, for Stoke Con Trent, a sci-fi and comics convention taking place later this month in Stoke-on-Trent. As is normal for this type of event, there'll be panels, merchandise stalls, and a wide array of celebrity guests signing autographs and doing photo sessions.

You can probably guess where we're going with this, but unsurprisingly, said celebrity guests also include several of the Red Dwarf gang: specifically, Chris Barrie, Robert Llewellyn, Danny John-Jules and Norman Lovett. The convention is a one-day-only event, on Sunday 19th April, and day tickets are just £12 (£8 concessions, £6 for kids).

As the summer months approach, there are an increasing number of film and TV conventions going on up and down the country (and beyond!) and while we don't have any further confirmed Dwarf appearances as yet, you can bet they'll be popping up on plenty of guest lists before too long, so as ever we'll keep you posted on any movements.
