Craig's live funk night rolls into 2015.

For quite some time now, Craig Charles has been a man on a mission. And that mission? To bring an irresistible blend of top-class funk and soul music to as many dancing party animals as possible. It's a quest that shows no signs of slowing down, either; and beyond his weekly commitment to throwing out tunes on BBC Radio 6Music (with the occasional fill-in on Radio 2 to boot), he's got an extensive slate of live dates lined up in the first quarter of 2015 for anyone who feels the need to get out there and, in the words of Kryten, "strut their funky stuff".

This very weekend brings a rare London date on Friday night (23rd January) at the Jazz Café in Camden, before trips over the coming weeks and months to Birmingham, Cardiff, Leicester, Reading, Clitheroe and Woking. That's an addition to a regular engagement at the Band on the Wall in Manchester on the last Saturday of every month. Here's a full list of all the available dates at the time of writing:

The shows frequently involve live band performances before Craig takes over for a lengthy DJ set. We don't know why, though, but we still haven't been able to get him to play some Rastabilly Skank...
