Dance Crazy
Jake Wood lighting up Strictly.
5 December, 2014
He's been known to millions of Eastenders fans since 2006 as Max Branning - but long before that, Jake Wood was better known by millions of Red Dwarf fans as one of Series VIII's breakout guest characters, the deranged Tank inmate known only as Kill Crazy. Now, though, he's taking centre stage as one of the foremost stars of this year's series of the BBC's long-running dance competition, Strictly Come Dancing.
The twelfth series began back in September, and has seen Jake up against other celebrities including Pixie Lott, Caroline Flack, Gregg Wallace and Scott Mills. Along with his dancing partner Janette Manrara, he's so far stormed the competition - but as it goes into its final weeks, he'll need all the support he can get from Dwarfers to try and make it all the way. With six pairs remaining, he's the bookies' third-favourite to win, and this week - the eleventh - he'll be performing the Charleston.
The show airs on Saturday night (6th December) at 7pm on BBC One, so be sure to tune in and check out the Strictly website for details on how to vote for Jake. If nothing else, he deserves it for taking on a challenge even more difficult than battling a T-Rex...
