Doug's new sitcom hits BBC1. UPDATE: Exclusive photos added!

You probably remember our telling you recently about Doug Naylor's new sitcom Over to Bill - go on, you do, it was only a few weeks ago - but a vital piece of information that was missing was the matter of when the pilot was actually going to air on BBC1.

Well, we're pleased to be able to tell you that the show - which has been produced as part of the BBC's revived Comedy Playhouse strand of one-offs - will be shown on BBC1 on Tuesday 29th April, at 10.35pm. So get your diaries, or your PVRs, or your iPlayer-clicking-fingers, prepped and ready!

UPDATE (25.04.14): To whet your appetite for the show, we have a selection of new and exclusive stills and behind-the-scenes shots! As well as main cast members Hugh Dennis, Neil Morrissey, Tracey-Ann Oberman and Helen George, look out for some familiar Red Dwarf faces including James Baxter, director of photography Ed Moore, and of course Richard and Doug Naylor:
