Dress Your Device
New mobile and tablet wallpapers for download.
27 September, 2013
It hasn't escaped our notice that mobile browsing devices are an increasing source of traffic here at reddwarf.co.uk - you lot just can't get enough of your phones and tablets (and, to be honest, nor can we). We added some Series X-themed character wallpapers for iPhone owners to the site last year - but we thought it was about time we gave you a few options to customise a wider range of devices.
And so, if you head on over to the Downloads section, you'll find a set of new mobile wallpapers, based on Chris Veale's fantastic CGI artwork from the Series I-VIII and Bodysnatcher Collection DVDs. So you can now adorn the background of your chosen device with any of the Red Dwarf ship, Blue Midget, Starbug, two different bunkrooms, the GELF Ship, the SS Esperanto, the Laredo Saloon, or the Tank!
Now for the technical bit: there are tablet wallpapers specifically designed to work on iPads (in both landscape and portrait mode - and we've given options for both the newer retina-display and older iPad 1 and 2 models) and the Google Nexus 7 (plus other scrolling-wallpaper Android devices that use the same 1600x1280 resolution). For phones, meanwhile, you'll find options for the iPhone 4/4S and 5/5C/5S screen sizes, plus a generic Android screen in 1080x920 that can be resized to fit phones by HTC, Samsung, Sony and more.
We're hoping to add to the range with some more designs in future - and if you're having any trouble installing, or a suggestion for a device you'd like to see us offer options for, then feel free to let us know on the Forum.
