Kryten Lands on the Forbidden Planet

Robert Llewellyn to sign new Red Dwarf memoir.

22 February, 2013

Keen followers of Robert Llewellyn's authorial efforts will know that alongside his News From... series of sci-fi novels, he's also been hard at work bringing his mid-1990s memoir of life working on Red Dwarf, The Man in the Rubber Mask, up to date. After first recording an audiobook version of the original manuscript, he's since released further audio chapters detailing all manner of behind-the-scenes goings-on from Series VI, VII, VIII, Back to Earth and even Series X.

While the audio version has proven exceedingly popular, many fans had clamoured for a print version of the updated story - and that's exactly what Robert has now provided. Publishers Unbound - yes, they of the aforementioned News From... books - have put together a new edition, scheduled to be released later in the Spring.

However, if you want to get your hands on a copy a bit sooner - not to mention getting to meet Robert himself into the bargain - you'll probably want to get yourself down to London's Forbidden Planet Megastore on Saturday 2nd March. Between 1pm and 2pm, Robert will be chatting to fans and signing copies of the new book. We suggest getting there early if you can, as Forbidden Planet is usually busy enough on the Saturdays that don't feature famous sanitation droids signing books!

If you can't make it to London on the 2nd, you can also order a signed copy of the book directly from the Forbidden Planet website. The book itself will also be available from various other online retailers shortly!
