Piece From The Dwarf
Your chance to own a unique slice of memorabilia.
13 July, 2012
We've all got our Mr Flibble hand puppets, our Corgi Starbugs, and our "SMEG HEAD" t-shirts. But very occasionally, the chance comes along to own a piece of Red Dwarf memorabilia that is truly special - and entirely one-of-a-kind.
That's certainly the case with an amazing item that's shown up on eBay recently. Donated by Grant Naylor Productions for sale to benefit Fibro Miyalgia and Cystic Fibrosis charities, the item in question is a genuine piece of the most recent Red Dwarf ship model.

As many of you will know, the good ship Dwarf was redesigned in 1997 for the Remastered video releases (and, later, Series VIII) - but before being rendered in CGI, the design was built lovingly in hand-crafted model form. That very same model has now been chopped down and repurposed for use in Red Dwarf X - but in doing so, naturally, the production team had a fair few pieces of it left over. It's one such piece, measuring almost half a metre in length, that's now up for sale - and just in case it wasn't quite valuable enough for you, it's been signed by Craig, Chris, Robert and Danny to boot.
Although being sold through eBay, this is a fixed-price sale rather than a timed auction. Should anyone decide to give it a good home, then the charities will benefit to the tune of £750. When it's gone, it's gone, so if you're keen, you'll want to get in there quickly. And if any lucky reddwarf.co.uk readers do end up buying it, don't forget to send us pictures!
