Corsham Fun Day
Chris and Danny to hit family sci-fi festival.
27 April, 2012
Sci-fi conventions these days come in all shapes and sizes - and there's none with a more unique feel than South West England's Corsham Sci-Fi Family Fun Day. Now in its fourth year, the event raises thousands of pounds for a variety of charities, and has a distinctly friendly, family-based atmosphere. It also attracts a surprisingly strong array of sci-fi stars for such a small town, with luminaries from the likes of Doctor Who, Star Wars and - yes, you guessed it - Red Dwarf in attendance.
Following on from his appearance last year, Danny John-Jules will be making a repeat visit - but this time, he's also joined by Chris Barrie. This is both actors' first public appearance since wrapping shooting on Red Dwarf X, so it's a golden opportunity to quiz them on the new series.
Danny and Chris will also be joined by stars including Doctor Who's Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant, alongside an assortment of memorabilia and merchandise traders - and an awful lot of visitors in home-made costumes. The event takes place at Corsham Community Centre this coming Saturday 28th April, kicking off at 10am. Tickets are just £3 for adults, £2 for children, and can be bought on the door or in advance from AutoMattic Comics.
