Get your online Red Dwarf fix this Christmas.

23 December, 2011

It's late on Christmas day. You're full of turkey and sprouts, Auntie Mabel's just pilfered the last of the Quality Street, and Doctor Who isn't on for a few hours. As the threat of another game of charades looms, wouldn't it be great if you could just reach out to your laptop, tablet or phone and get a fix of Red Dwarf action instead?

Well, we've got news for you. You're never more than a click away from Red Dwarf this festive season - so even if you're separated from your precious Just the Shows boxsets by motorways and snow, there are countless ways to keep up with the latest news and revisit your favourite moments online and on-demand...

iTunes

Digital Dwarf

Sometimes, we know, the DVDs just don't do it. I mean, they're over the other side of the room, and everything. That's why every single episode of Red Dwarf ever produced is available for instant purchase and download in lovely high-quality format for your PC, Mac or mobile iOS device.

And you don't have to scrabble your way through search results, either - because we've got a dedicated Red Dwarf room on the iTunes store. Lovely, isn't it? As well as buying the episodes either individually or by series, you can also pick up a special package, Doug Naylor's Definitive Dwarf, in which Doug chooses his nine favourite episodes across the original eight series.

And that's not all - if you're an App fan, The Dibblifier and the Red Dwarf Soundboard can also be found right there in the Red Dwarf Room, as well as on the App Store.

Global iPlayer

Don't live in a country that can buy the series on iTunes? Never fear. Now available on all Apple's iOS devices - that's the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch to you - the BBC's Global iPlayer app offers a huge variety of BBC and other UK-produced TV content that includes Red Dwarf series I-III, for a monthly fee. It's currently available to viewers in Germany, Italy, Spain, France, The Republic of Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Canada. Rumours of a rollout to Mimas and Io early next year are, sadly, as yet unfounded.
