A repeated series is an interesting prospect for even the hardened Red Dwarf fan. The opportunity to dip into whatever's been scheduled, rather than specifically dig out a DVD and watch a series in order, can sometimes allow an episode to take you by surprise.

Right now Dave are in the middle of showing Series III, with Timeslides going out on Thursday the 16th at 10pm and The Last Day on the following week at the same time. (Episodes also benefit from a post-midnight repeat.)

Our top not-usually-noticed Timeslides factoid? The voice Chris Barrie adopts while playing his brother Frank is pretty much identical to the Ace Rimmer hero voice he used the following series when launching the character in Dimension Jump. Make of that what you will. We've got an entire theory about brotherly-idolisation and Academy-influenced accents. We'll bore you with it sometime.
