Robert Wins MIPAA Award
All that whizzing around has finally paid off.
24 December, 2010
Robert Llewellyn - you know him, he straps on a rubber head for us every so often - has been given the Chairman's Award by the Motor Industry Public Affairs Association.
Previously presented to, amongst others, Chris Evans, Ken Gibson, Ewan McGregor/Charlie Boorman, Jeremy Clarkson, it's a specific acknowledgement of Robert's enthusiasm and advocacy for electric vehicles - not least in his web series Fully Charged.
"I have always loved cars and yet always been very aware of the damage they can cause," Robert told MIPAA. "I fully accept that electric cars are not the answer to everything, but I firmly believe they are a step in the right direction. I'm therefore thrilled at the prospect of new technology being introduced into this vitally important area of our lives, I'm thrilled at winning this award."
