All New iTunes Red Dwarf Room
Maybe we should call it the Officers' Quarters...
26 March, 2010
55 episodes, three specials, two apps. It's reached the point where there's so much Red Dwarf goodness knocking around the iTunes store that, frankly, it's time Kryten had a bit of a tidy up.
Well, Apple have apparently got there first, with the appearance of the Red Dwarf room.
Minimising the clicking around you'll have to do - because we know you're dreadfully busy these days - the Red Dwarf room pulls all the official content together in a single, tidy place.
All the episodes are available, alongside the Soundboard and brand-new Dibblifier apps. And there's the chance to download the Smeg Ups, Smeg Outs and Making of Back to Earth specials. The room's accessible in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Germany. (That last is especially exciting as the show has yet to be broadcast there - but the first novel has been successfully doing the rounds in its translated incarnation.)
When an early series features triangular video tapes and the latest is filmed in HD and available at the click of a button, well, it just shows how far we've all come...
