All American Dwarf
Series I to VIII released on the American iTunes store.
11 December, 2009
2009 is clearly the download Christmas. Apps are on the way from 2entertain, and while we're moments away from Series VIII's arrival on the UK iTunes store, the Americans finally get in on the act... and, in the tradition of doing everything bigger, release all 52 BBC shows in one great big... well, we're trying to think of a better word than 'dollop'.
Series I to VIII are available now in the American iTunes store. That's everything from stasis imprisonment to kneeing death in the happy-sacs, via time travel, bodyswapping, evil doubles, penguin glove puppets, inter-species marriage and the kind of amputation that could put you off barbecue wings for life.
Immediately upon release the show started climbing the sci-fi chart in the store hitting number two incredibly swiftly. So while we leave it to you to debate among yourselves - or in our forum - just whether the show should be listed under 'sci-fi' or 'comedy', there's no question that the demand for digital Dwarf is higher than Rimmer's pre-death blood-pressure.
Rumour has it that Back to Earth will be out during March 2010, so you have plenty of time to catch up with the story so far!
