Blu-ray Art For America
Plus the DVD. And it's... exceedingly familiar, actually.

So much for everything in the States being bigger. Red Dwarf: Back to Earth on DVD and Blu-ray looks pretty damn similar to its UK counterpart in almost every respect. But then, with a package this big... oh, just insert your own innuendo here and we'll move on.
So here it is, the Region 1 artwork for the Red Dwarf resurrection trilogy, on DVD and Blu-ray:
Released by BBC Home Entertainment and Warner Home Video on October 6th, the Blu-ray is the high-definition package of choice for the Halloween period. (Okay, it's not actually that scary - underwater sea-monster attack aside - but it's a big holiday for the Yanks, okay?) The cornerstone of the hi-def, for those who know their jargon, is the 1.78:1, 1080i picture and DTS HD 5.1 surround sound on the Director's Cut.
But, as the identical UK content list shows, even the bonus content is mostly made up of glorious high-definition video. Which makes watching the behind the scenes footage even more fascinating than usual - just what is written under that storyboard...?
But for those of you still on standard def, worry not - the DVD hits shelves the same day, and is equally dense with extras. And the cast commentaries sound just as anarchic whatever the resolution.
