Well worry no longer, Red Dwarf co-creator Rob Grant has a new novel due for release that very day. The book is Fat, and satire is certainly on the menu. reddwarf.co.uk has read the book, and if you thought Incompetence had some pretty cynical things to say about the modern world... well, you ain't seen nothing yet.

The book tells three parallel stories along the titular theme. Grenville is a man who struggles to get in and out of phone boxes, Hayleigh's a teenage girl who can't stomach eating, and PR man Jeremy Slank is about to get a wake-up call about what science is really telling us about obesity.

Funny, touching and incredibly thought-provoking, you'll never look at salt the same way again.
