Merchandise Update
Titbits tumble from the table of commerce.
18 November, 2005
A small update this week, thanks in no small part to us celebrating the excellent first week's sales for the Series VII DVD - over 47,000 in the first week, and on day of release we were second only to Star Wars in the UK chart. This is the biggest-opening Dwarf DVD to date, and we thank you all from the very bottom of our rehydration units.
First and foremost, good news on the Film Cells. After the recent discovery that Argos will no longer be running a Series VII film cell collection exclusive to their stores, reddwarf.co.uk can reveal that the design (pictured) will now be put on general release - including inside our very own Red Dwarf Shop. Perfect timing for an item closely linked to our current DVD release!
On a sadder note, the Australian calendar planned for release last month was cancelled. World of Stars, who had created a terrific design, were recently bought out - it's a cut-throat business, this days-and-months lark! - and the Dwarf calendar was on-hold too long to revive it. Still, fans in Oz - and anywhere inside or outside the UK - can still pick up the UK calendar.
Right, that's it for now. We're off to sober Mr Flibble up from the GNP celebration do.
Calendars, film cells, DVDs and much, much more are available now from the Red Dwarf Shop.
