2006 Calendar
The all-new Red Dwarf date-maker is out now - complete with Space Corps directives!
14 October, 2005
If only Rimmer had known. Instead of wasting all that time creating his own revision timetable, he could have plucked this handy planner from the shelves and spent his time, well, revising. No matter. Here, as promised, is the 2006 Red Dwarf calendar from World of Calendars.
The design is a double-whammy based on both character profiles and Space Corps directives. Alternate months offer either information on the main Dwarfers, or a smattering of the most misquoted directives in the history of the Jupiter Mining Corporation, taken from both the series and 1996's Red Dwarf Log book.
Obviously a month dedicated to, say, Lister will proffer a variety of pictures of the grubby Scouser - but we've been a bit clever with the directives, too, and as a result the main image will do its best to reference the directive in question.
Two quick examples from the gallery above: the famous shot of Kryten and Camille at the movies is accompanied by the directive It is the prime, overriding duty to contact other lifeforms, exchange information, and, whenever possible, bring them home. And yes, for No member of the Corps should report for duty in a ginger toupee, we have indeed shown Holly badly-wigged-up - a nod not just to the directive, but also to the scene in Kryten. "It makes you look like a game-show host!"
The calendar is available in all the usual outlets, including the Red Dwarf Shop.
