Club Chairman
The Fan Club hotseat is vacated.. and filled again!
7 January, 2005
It's a bad news/good news situation for the Official Red Dwarf Fan Club. The bad news is that, after three years of dedicated service, Jane Williams is stepping down from the club's throne.
Anyone who has attended a convention in the last few years will tell you that Jane made the weekends an utter joy, both with her organisation skills and her manic presence (not to mention her Dwarf tattoos). Her impressive dedication has made the past few years a joy, and we'll miss her like Rimmer misses sexual intercourse.
So with one hand GNP bids a fond farewell, with huge thanks, to Jane, who now returns to regular fandom - no doubt heckling from the crowd at the next DJ. But with the other hand we welcome new chairman and all-round good egg James Bull. The WebBoard's very own 'Drumjay' has stepped up to fill Jane's 50s-style boots and we very much look forward to seeing what he achieves.
Some of you may remember James from our article detailing his massive Red Dwarf collection. There's no denying this man's fan credentials! Already grabbing the reins with both hands, James aims to have the next Dimension Jump weekend organised for later in 2005, possibly around September, in a central England location. More news when we have it... and once James has had chance to catch his breath!
