Isn't it time your phone was funnier? Those dull days in the office brightened up by a classic Norman Lovett one-liner? Well, the Funnybone team have joined with comedians including Norman Lovett and The Sketch Show's Tim Vine to deliver content direct to your mobile.
The world's first 'Virtual Comedian' also includes material from writers who have made their names on Have I Got News For You and So Graham Norton. Co-founder Jeremy O'Donnell explains. "The mobile platform enables us to react very quickly to topical events. We can write, produce and publish comedy based on a news story within 40 minutes of that story breaking. It's very exciting for us to be able to have such immediacy in our work".
To access the Funnybone comedy site, WAP enabled phones users need to text 'Go Comedy' to 87121 at a cost of £1.50* Subscribers to the service will be able to access a wide range of comedy including:
- Norman Lovett video clips
- Tim Vine video clips
- World's first animated WAP comedian
- Topical picture captions
- Text jokes
- Comedy club recommendations
- Comedy Club ticket discounts
*The services will depend on the subscriber's mobile phone capabilities. All subscribers must have WAP capable phones.
Users with video capable phones will get access to all content types for 24 hours at a cost of £1.50. Users without video capable phones but with colour picture capable phones will get access to all non-video content types for 5 days at a cost of £1.50.
