Hollywood Science
Robert Llewellyn applies reality to some cinematic flights of fancy.
4 April, 2003
You no doubt caught Robert Llewellyn - thankfully devoid of Kryten mask - on BBC2 for the start of his new series, Hollywood Science. If not, you're missing out, because Robert will be exploding some of the myths of movie physics in truly spectacular fashion.
Whether it's the painting thievery of The Thomas Crown Affair, the invisibility of Hollow Man or the rather revolting urine-conversion in Waterworld, Robert - along with Dr Jonathan Hare - will be putting it to the test. Rather him than us. Catch the four-part series at 7.30pm on Wednesday nights.
Elsewhere on British telly, Red Dwarf stalwart Tony Hawks is currently hosting Lights, Camera, Accident for Channel 5 - camcorders, hapless innocents, minor injuries... you get the idea. You can catch his many tales of the accident-prone at 8.30pm on Sundays.
