Goodall Dreaming
'Dwarf composer Howard Goodall brings his latest show to London.
30 November, 2001
The man who mixed the Red Dwarf theme with The Blue Danube Waltz and gave Ace Rimmer some seriously heroic orchestrations to kill Nazis to is preparing for his latest show's move to London.
Based on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, music for The Dreaming is written by Howard Goodall and features lyrics by Charles Hart. The show opened at the Northcott Theatre, Exeter in August and is now coming to the capital for Christmas. It is being performed by the National Youth Music Theatre in the Linbury Studio Theatre at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden from December 18th to 29th.
Howard has also been shooting his new series, Howard Goodall's Great Dates, due for transmission on Channel 4 from March, 2002. Travelling internationally, filming took place in Berlin, St Petersburg, Moscow, Paris and New York. Howard was, in fact, in New York on September 11th and watched the entire attack from the street.
Always a busy man, Howard is also currently scoring the new animated Mr Bean series.
