The Chloë Annett comedy approaches UK cinemas.

A UK release date has been set for Chloë Annett's forthcoming movie, Pasty Faces. Written and directed by David Baker, the film will open in July following a celebrity premiere in Glasgow. A trailer for the film is starting to pop up in cinemas nationwide, and is also available to download from the Pasty Faces website.
The multi-talented Baker also stars in the film, which has been produced by the Noel Gay Motion Picture Company, who had a hand in 1995's Trainspotting and recent comedy Virtual Sexuality. Producer Christopher Figg is also known for Clive Barker's Hellraiser series.
Pasty Faces tells the story of Mickey and Joe - two out of work actors with massive debts and an urge for something better. They crave work in 'serious theatre' but usually end up in pantomime. Following the possibly misguided advice of two friends in the U.S., the duo head for Los Angeles in search of the big time.
Discovering that their friend's "Hollywood success" is not all they had claimed - and suffering from casting directors' misconception that all real Scotsmen have red hair - within days the heroes are caught up in gambling and organised crime, not helped by a disastrous trip to Las Vegas.
Chloë plays Lena - "a bit of a crazy nutter", as the actress revealed to Mr Flibble. "But not too crazy," she adds. "Misunderstood. It's a young, energetic film... I steal men's wallets in casinos, hold them at gunpoint - in black leather. Anytime anybody says anything to me I've got this big gun! It's hilarious, it's very funny."
And did she enjoy being given a gun to play with? "Oh, everybody did! We were all terrible!" She laughs. "It was like Red Dwarf with the props. 'I'll just take that... Chloë, I'll just take that...' (Whines) 'No, I want to play with the gun...'"
