Lottery Monopoly
Season VI's director heads for Wales for his new drama.

Red Dwarf VI director Andy DeEmmony is returning to the subject of lottery winners for the two-part drama, Score, by Jason Sutton, which was broadcast on BBC Wales on February 12th and 13th, and is due on the regular Beeb in May.
The plot is based around the families and friends of an amateur football club. Their world is turned thoroughly upside-down when the team pick the lucky numbers on the National Lottery. The cast includes drama veterans Alun Armstrong (currently in Adrian Mole: The Cappuccino Years) and Bob Pugh (The Lakes).
Talking to reddwarf.co.uk recently, director Andy DeEmmony was aware that the Lottery theme had already been explored in ITV drama, At Home With the Braithwaites, which he also directed: 'I've got this Lottery niche now, you see.'
How does the story pan out? 'They've all signed a contract for their syndicate that they'll use the money to turn themselves into a professional team. But, obviously, all their wives want the money!'
'We don't know if it'll go out as one two-hour film or two one-hours.' He added of the show's BBC broadcast in May. 'The first part is quite light, and the second part is very dark.'
