Synopsis
When the Dwarfers investigate a crashed ship at the bottom of an ocean moon, Lister and Cat become trapped together and Lister's nightmare begins. Meantime Rimmer and Kryten discover the ship is controlled by a dark force.

Did You Know?
Samsara's original premise would have seen the characters stuck in malfunctioning lifts, hence its working title "Lift Off".
Apart from the distress message at the start of the episode, none of the scenes with the characters of Green and Barker feature any of the Red Dwarf crew. Such scenes are an extremely rare occurrence for the show, having previously only been seen in Series V's The Inquisitor and Series X's The Beginning.
The "ice cream" eaten by Lister during the bunkroom scene was in fact made of whipped cream.
